Introduction

Join us for a breathtaking weekend in the Scottish Highlands as we conquer Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest mountain, and explore the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct - made famous by the Harry Potter films.
This two-day adventure combines challenge, beauty, and exploration in one of Scotland’s most spectacular regions.

Day 1 – Ben Nevis Hike (Saturday 13th June)

Meet at the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre for 09:30 (postcode: PH33 6ST).
We’ll take on the classic route to the summit of Ben Nevis (1,345m), following a well-marked trail with rewarding views throughout.

  • Distance: Approx. 9 miles (14km)
  • Duration: Around 6 hours
  • Terrain: Rocky and steep in places, with some sections exposed to changing weather conditions
  • Grade: 4 - Challenging


Day 2 – Glenfinnan Viaduct & River Finnan (Sunday 14th June)

Meet at Glenfinnan Car Park for 08:30 (postcode: PH37 4LT).
We’ll follow a scenic loop exploring the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct and River Finnan, with time to take in the views and landmarks from the Harry Potter films.

  • Distance: Approx. 8 miles (11km)
  • Duration: Around 5 hours
  • Grade: 3 – Moderate, suitable for hikers with a reasonable fitness level

Grade

  • Grade 4 (Ben Nevis): A challenging hike requiring a good level of fitness and stamina. Expect steep climbs, rocky terrain, and potential exposure to mountain weather.
  • Grade 3 (Glenfinnan): A moderate-level walk suitable for regular walkers. Includes some uphill sections and uneven ground but plenty of time to rest and explore.
